The Unwind Center operates the School of Music, located at No. 18/16, 1st Floor, 2nd main road, Nilgiris supermarket street, near Ibaco, Kasturba Nagar, Adyar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Established in 1998, the center promotes musicians, music education, and genres such as jazz, artist tributes, and unplugged music through festivals and events.[1][3] The School of Music offers classes in piano, keyboard, western vocals, drums, toddlers percussion program, guitar, violin, and disc jockey.[1]

Courses include a 10-month toddlers percussion program and 4-month intermediate advanced courses in drums and guitar. Instruction focuses on customized lessons, balancing music theory and live performance skills, with faculty consisting of professional musicians who perform live and record in studios.[1] The school nurtures beginners into confident musicians, developing usable skills for professional or personal artistic expression.[1][3]

Part of the broader Unwind Center, the facility includes a professionally equipped jamming room, known as the Practice Pad, available since 2003 for musicians to hone skills, and a digital recording suite handling full-fledged live bands.[3] The center hosts regular events and has impacted thousands of music lovers over more than two decades.[3]
