Rainbow Foundation India operates as an NGO focused on supporting vulnerable street children. The organization runs the Rainbow Homes programme for girls and Sneh Ghars for boys, providing open, voluntary, and non-custodial residential homes. These programmes offer comprehensive, long-term care including nutrition, education, protection, healthcare, and preparation for future independence. Children receive four nutritious meals daily, enrollment in mainstream schools, life skills training, co-curricular activities, regular medical check-ups, and support for skill development, vocational training, and job placement.[1][4][5]

The initiative maintains safe, clean living spaces with a strict child protection policy and addresses needs of sick or disabled children, including de-addiction support. Programmes operate across multiple locations, with an office in Chennai at No.20/1, Loaders Gate, 3rd Ln, Purasaiwakkam, and headquarters in Hyderabad and Delhi. Additional cities served include Bangalore, Patna, New Delhi, Pune, and Kolkata. Since 2014, the organization has impacted 8 cities through 44 homes, 480 care takers, and 3500 children.[1][5]
